About The Author

Dr. Hal Seed is is passionate about the church.

Hal is the father of two college students (Bryan and Amy) and husband of one great wife (Lori). Hal and Lori founded New Song Community Church in Oceanside, CA in 1992. Over the past 14 years, New Song has seen 4200
people come to Christ, planted 6 daughter churches, and helped found four parachurch support ministries, including Outreach Inc., Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI), and Church Community Builder (CCB).

New Song Community Church’s goal is to be The Church Next Door – a great neighbor to the people, institutions and agencies in our community. That great neighbor-circle has expanded to church planting efforts around the globe, and church-resourcing efforts within the United States. Hal travels to assist churches with evangelism and outreach, military ministry strategy, and “Next Door” efforts. He is a Walk-Thru-The-Bible Instructor, and trainer for Dynamic Church Planting International.

Hal holds degrees in biblical studies and Christian Education, theology and leadership from Wheaton College (B.A.), and Denver (M. Div) and Fuller Seminaries (D.Min).

Hal is the author of The God Questions: Exploring Life’s Great Questions About God, Future History: Understanding the Book of Daniel and End Times Prophecy, Jonah - Responding to God in all the Right Ways and the soon-to-be-released The Church Next Door: An Externally Focused Church Reaching Out to Its Neighbors.
